Wow. What a wild race. All ending in heartbreak.

What an amazing race from Lando up until he chose not to pit for inters. He and that McLaren are a deadly combo right now.

Well managed race from Hamilton, it didnt look like he would even be on the podium for the first 15 laps or so.

Great race from Max to make it all the way up to 2nd. Quite unbelievable!

I found it rather hilarious that Sky was criticizing all the drivers running up front who stayed out long on the first stint and how powerful the undercut was just for all of those drivers who went in early to finish further back in the grid. They really need some better people in that box. Even Paul isnt great IMO. I want Joylon and Karun. I do love Ted as well.

We're all saying shame for Norris and McLaren and guessing that they got their weather call wrong keeping Norris out longer on slicks.
All teams are served by Meteo France since 2017 including Merc yet McLaren somehow got it all wrong for unknown reasons and let Ham through for his 100th win whence if Ham came second and Max third then Ham would be trailing Max by two points and still be on 99 wins.
There's nothing coming forth from McLaren except speculation from the journalists that it was 'multiple decisions' in McLaren that got it wrong. I don't buy that.

To me, it sounded like Lando took a gamble and lost. He chose not to come in when told to. Tis is racing. I'm wondering though how much better the new Ferrari Hybrid PU is. Still wondering why they would continue to develop the MGU-H when it's on it's way out.

Also, LOL @ Merc being tactical by changing Bottas PU and Max passes him handily at the very beginning. Sounds like Valterri may have his own tactical decisions.

Val said he never even saw Max come up to him and quite frankly he doesn't give a flying F* about Merc or Wolff now with his seat secure at Alfa for next year who contrary to general opinion look like sticking with Ferrari PU.

The difference in communications from Merc to HAM and Mclaren to NOR was drastic.

All race the mclaren team was "asking" Lando how he is doing on tires or asking if he can stay out, "what are your thoughts on inters"… etc. They were clearly ANNOYING him with the questions and he just wanted to race. They needed to tell him to come in.

On the other hand Merc basically told HAM to come in, and he did, even though he didn't want to. I'm sure if they "asked" him to come in he would have waited until it was too late.

Lewis even went 1 more lap before coming in so he was indeed questioning the call.

What I found funny was the head games over the radio. Both Max and Lando would complain about their tires, then do fast laps. Both said their left front was done, then proceeded to overtake.

Was definitely an entertaining race especially at the end. Lando has only himself to blame for losing so many points. McLaren though acted like amateurs and let young Lando make a bad choice under pressure. The bottom line and instructions from the team should have been to do whatever Mercedes does. The worst thing that could have happened is Lando getting 2nd. The alternative was basically either Lando is miraculously replaced by Moses and finishes well on slicks, or that he loses control and gets nothing. Cooler heads should have prevailed.
