I'm looking at what you guys have coming down the pipe. Few years from now...I think you'll be sitting pretty. Lots of quality kids there...

Should have Hextall traded some of the talent for current success...maybe, but I can tell you, your next GM is going to look like a genius off Hextalls coat tails.

Oh yea there's plenty of prospects. But honestly, maybe it's too many. You only have so many spots to fill. Probably should have traded a few.
And then you have the coach Hextall hired who seemed to prefer washed up veterans over young talented prospects. Travis Sanheim was sent back to the AHL last year bc Hak was infatuated with 7th defenseman-at-best Brandon Manning. This year, they call up a talented winger Nick Aube-Kubel and Hak gives him 4-5 minutes a game so Dale Weise can get more minutes.

Hextall is starting to look like Sam Hinkie a little bit. Stocked the cupboard real nice with picks and prospects and now its time to find a new GM to put the plan into action. Just hopefully they don't find a Bryan Colangelo

Interesting fact about the Sabres:

They are the only team in NHL History to go from Last Place in one season to First Place the next season (in a span of 25 games).

Wondering if they can hold on to this magic into the new year...

Looking like my preseason prediction was accurate at this point.

Wonder what they will be called???!?

Hockey is not new to Seattle and I suspect the team will flourish from a fan support perspective.

Exciting times!

I understand getting to 32 teams. I heard rumor of going beyond that by 2 or more teams. Anyone have anything on that? Makes no sense to me.

Yeah the media here is saying there is interest to expand to Houston and Kansas City as well. Strange considering a few teams in non traditional markets continue to struggle (Arizona, Florida, Carolina and even NJ). Revenue sharing keeps those markets alive, and owners don’t complain because they get to split the buy in cost of the expansion team (650 million in this case).

Rumor is...owner of the rockets talked with the NHL about relocating the coyotes. I'd assume if they don't work out an arena deal in a couple years...they'll move.

What do you think of the goalie Pitts has been using while Murray was out? He have a chance to stick around?

Makes sense why they moved the Yotes to the central then. Lines up perfectly with a move to Houston.

Curious who is this high-end D prospect, because we only have one. No way Benning will give up Hughes.

Guilty. Sunday night I was freaking out thinking we got Q. Still think Q is an option. Comcast owns the Flyers and the Flyers are simply put losing money. Getting one of the best coaches in the game would surely help them make money. They'll pay big for him.
Everything I've heard is that Q is enjoying his free time and would be looking to get back into coaching after the holidays. Can't blame him.

Yea, hopefully not for the bad but it's hard not too feel like it's too early for Hart. Here comes all the pressure on a 20 year old netminder in his first pro season.
