What the Yankees need to do is pound that fake ace Greinke in G1 and make Verlander work his ass off and hopefully get some home runs off of him as he does give up the long ball. Sev should pitch G3 and go toe to toe with Cole. Malaka G1 followed by Paxton G2.

I don’t want to see CC on the mound unless he throws the ceremonial 1st pitch before G3 and for the love of GOD Aaron Hicks, stay home and see you in spring training.

I had a feeling the Yankees would take G1 as it was a must game. Most would think the Astros will take G3 and G2 would be a toss up.

Like you mentioned in previous post we need to work Verlander and Cole, both are great pitchers but do expand the zone . The Yankees just need to keep grinding out at bats working up there pitch counts and hopefully will will get some more solid starting pitching out of Big Maple and Sevy!! Go Yanks!!

Come on man have some faith in the team , there a different team then the 2017 team. Just looked up some numbers for Cole he is 1-0 with a 4.50 era at Yankee stadium, grind out some at bats and lay off the pitches out of the zone. I know easier said then done, if we can get game 3 I feel good about this series ending in the Bronx. There game 4 starter who knows who’s pitching and Greinke will most likely pitch game 5 where he has a era over 11 at the stadium!

Trust me I want to be wrong but I’m waiving the white flag here. We had G2 and Ottavino who has been shaky his last few outings blew it for us. I cannot see us beating Cole twice (G3/G7) and Verlander in G6.

The best part is we don’t have to beat Cole twice just once, and at Yankee stadium with our crowd going crazy it will be harder for Cole and gives us a better chance. So let’s go Yanks and take 3 at home. Though Wednesday isn’t looking good for baseball which means everyone can get pushed back, so Tanaka can go for us in game 4 on regular rest and if some how we will games 3 and 4 would the Astros get desperate and pitch Verlander on short rest again at the stadium ????
