The cost of parts? Is this car worth fixing up?
Hello all, there is a early 90's 5 series for sale in my area. The seller says it was involved in a fender bender and needs a new core support, radiator, and grill. In addition, the hood and one fender can probably be repaired.
My main question is how much the core support, radiator, and grill cost? Where would I even get a radiator and core support? The salvage yard? Thanks

Don't even think of buying a used radiator for a 5 series (E34 or E39)! The radiator parts could be up to $1000 and the bodywork could be anywhere from $2000-$5000. My dealer replaces hoods and fenders for anything other than the most minor dings, apparently the BMW bosy parts are not too expensive (relative to aftermarket body parts).
