Flipping an iphone 4
I am currently on tmobile and my contract is almost up. I'm thinking of switching to att and getting an iphone for everyone in my family, then cancel the data plan and sell all of the iphones and just use our current phones since they are already unlocked. I am wondering if anyone has tried this and had success? Were you about to cancel your data plan after the first month without any complications?

I know a friend who did the similar thing and made around $300 selling his Iphone. I suggest you not open the box because the value goes way down. When you go to renew your plan, tell the guy that you dont want the boxs open because its a "late Christmas gift" and you will use your current phones.
Buy brand new in box Iphone 4 for $200 (maybe less) and sell for $600+ (if unopened)

easiest way to do it is login to your account online, change the phone type in OLAM to something basic, then after that you'll be able to change your data plan in manage features.

If you're not gonna use ebay and have a guaranteed buyer do it. But if you are using ebay I suggest otherwise. It took me two months and about 5 scammers before i sold mine.

^Yeah i already have a few buyers, but i'm not really in a hurry to sell them since the money would just be sitting in my bank account anyways. might as well put it to work.
Can i do this without paying the 350 early termination charge? |

as long as you dont cancel the actual lines you are good to go, nowhere does it say you have to have a data plan, all at&t cares about is you being locked in for 2 years
although, if you find people who are about to switch to at&t you can transfer you contract over to them, so thats another way out of your contract I made a ton of money off of the first iPhone, not as profitable as it once was though |
