Help! (Deutschen!)

Anyone in the school system?
I really, really want to study back in Germany at a University and I need some help. No one here knows anything about transferring there and it's hard to talk to anyone in Germany because of the time difference. I have applied there in July but they told me my HS diploma wasnt equivalent to the German abitur and that I would need to take a year long class catching up or stay a year at a college here. I chose college here because it would at least get me started and help me on my way to my major instead of just getting no where really with the class. This may not be the best place to ask but I just thought I would try since I really need help and no one seems to giving any. thanks

I'd just make plans to stay up late (pop some popcorn or something) and then call Germany and figure it out...

I suppose, It's just that they [the German colleges that I want to apply to] don't know which courses at my college would satisfy since the two systems are so different. I don't know it just seems like nobody knows anything and no one is willing to help. Everyone that I get referred to just refers me to someone else. I think I would have to take it to the Chancellor if anything....

Your college should have a study abroad program and they should be able to set it up for you.

They do but it's not for my major, and I do not plan on returning after I leave here.
