Darksiders
For all of the Zelda 64 fans out there this is an awesome mix between God of War type combat and Zelda type dungeons and open worlds.
The game start out really linear but very quickly opens up after the first few bosses, they basically try to teach you the combat and then throw you into the deep end. Highly recommend it

Not as good as Bayonetta IMO....
I have both. Solid game, but more like a 7/8 out of 10. Bayonetta's at least a 9. Screen tearing in Darksiders gets pretty annoying. (Unless we're talking PS3)

Luckily the screen tearing will get fixed soon on the xbox. http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/105/1058958p1.html
I downloaded the demo for Beyonetta but have not played it yet. I watched a few videos for that game but I'm not impressed with the art style, just not what I like. I think the Darksiders art style is really why I absolutely love that game but I will play the Beyonetta demo and see what I think.

Bayonetta's gameplay is just awesome. Never had so much fun with an action game before. Much more fun than God of War, Devil May Cry, and the likes. But I agree, the art style/story is kind of strange at times. When I first started the game, I was like, uhhh... What did I just buy?
