I hate seeing this kind of behavior. People stealing your shit and ruining your credit score in a snap and without ever knowing who you are. I signed up for with an ID protection company just because the thought of this really gets to me.

Yep, 2006 was when 28M Visa numbers were compromised and the guy still seemed to make it out waiting trial. :/

The real lame thing about this was the rep from the CC industry was quick to say that the customer is not responsible for the thefts.

RIGHT, only the Banks and the retailers are responsible.. and they SURELY soakup the charges and NEVER pass them on.
