My dog was bitten!!

My dad was walking my dog around 8:10PM tonight and this rotweiler from down the street got out (the gate was opened so it must have snuck out). My dad tried to pick our dog up but somehow the leash got loose and so he was running away. The other dog fucking chased him all the way to our house and bit him right in front of our home. I heard yelping but thought our dogs were playing with each other (didn't know it was right in front of our house).

We tried to reach those people but no one is home. We're calling animal control right now and will take our dog to the vets tomorrow. We will of course bill them.

It just fucking pisses me off that such an aggressive dog is not kept behind closed gates or put down. Anyway, just wanted to vent a little. This incident has everyone in our family a bit riled up now.

Ouch! Maybe you should take him/her to the vet now.

That happened to me too but luckily, the neighbor was there to witness it. We went to the vet and they picked up the bill. Luckily, my dog was ok from the bite. Wish you the best!

^ It's an american eskimo/pomeranian mix. The other one is a yorkie mix. It's the former one that was bitten. The small one ran after trying to help. I heard yelping and stuff but didn't even think that that shit was happening. FUCK!!

The same thing happened to my golden retriever. The neighbor's pit bull got out and attacked my dog, who was just lying in the driveway in front of our old 'Rover (dog was trained, never had to worry about it going anywhere). The pit bit at it's front leg then went straight for the jugular and proceeded to try to drag it under the car like in the wild. People started screaming and eventually neighbors came with pool cleaners and baseball bats and wailed on the dog until it released.

Eventually my dog was ok and the neighbor picked up the bill (after I made their lives hell by many means) but the dog was never put down. It was totally nerve-wracking and I was shaken up. If you can't control your animal, you shouldn't have it. Stupid ghetto fucks that think they are like DMX in his music videos because they have a pit or rottweiler that will attack anything that moves.

^ yeah for sure - glad your dog was okay though! I'm still thinking about it and still pissed as hell. I'm a little mad at myself for not going outside to see what was going on when I heard yelping (it was loud!!). It feels like a family member has been hurt and I'm just freaking livid!!

Ahh that's just scary man!! My dad and I went over to the house but no one was home. We looked at the gate and it was open and the dog was standing in the opening looking at us. He was barking and growling so I was like "fuck that" and just walked away. Those rottweilers are no joke- I'm so glad that my dog wasn't seriously injured (e.g. jugular, body, etc.).

sorry about your animal friend. Hopefully the owners will be responsible about fixing the situation and making sure it doesn't happen again. I'd probably make a point to let them know if their dog gets out again and comes anywhere near my house that I won't think twice about shooting it.

dude I was so livid it's not even funny. When my dad brought him home I thought his legs were biten off (his feet were so bloody I couldn't see anything). I've already called animal control but not sure if I should also talk to them or just let animal control take care of it.

For sure- that's why I'm kinda kicking myself over it. If I just opened the door when I heard yelping I would have been able to prevent it (it happened right in front of our house).

After my neighbor's dog bit me, the cops were all over it and we got it declared a dangerous dog in court. It was awesome. Next time that stupid fucking mutt bites someone, the owner is getting a felony charge and likely a massive lawsuit.

This is a real legal term - among other things the dog has to wear a muzzel in public and they have to have a sign on the front door that says "Dangerous Dog." If anything else it alerts the entire world that you are a complete asshole.

Make the owner of that dog pay for the vet bill. The rot wasn't leashed, he's at fault. If the owner doesn't pay, you could sue him in small claims court.
