That was what I thought. I cannot believe the tower maintained its integrity while toppling over.
One can see the comparison to WTC #7. One pick-up truss failed and the whole building was reduced to a pile of rubbles. (No this is not an indictment against the designer of WTC #7. Except for high security targets, no one designs a building to survive the loss of a major structural element.)
I for one would hate to see the reputation of the superstructure's contractor destroyed, because some excavator should have stayed in elementary school (assuming the excavator is unrelated to the superstructure contractor). Joe Blow cannot tell who's fault this is and everyone associated in the project got the rap.
