Which One, again

If you guys remember I posted one of these a while back about a 525 vs. this same 530, and by the time we finally jumped on the car, the next day the idiot dealer sold it. :wailing: I could have killed him.

Anyways, so I am back at square one, again:mad:
Here are my choices...
http://www.azautosales.com/webtemplate.aspx?iid=359320
or
http://www.fantasyautoinc.com/carview.php?view=1129

What I'm wondering is like what are the problems I am going to run into with both of these cars? When will the auto transmission go? When will the cooling system go?
If you could share some of your experiences with these cars with me that would be great!

Here are some stats...

2002 BMW 525i-$14,775
  • 1 Owner
  • 54,845 miles
  • Automatic Trans.
  • Xenon
  • Carfax is CLEAN
  • Sterling Silver
  • Grey Interior
  • NOT SURE - Premium Pkg.
  • NOT SURE - 6 CD

2002 BMW 530i-$14,450
  • 2 Owners
  • 68,000
  • Automatic Trans.
  • Xenon
  • Carfax is also CLEAN
  • Dark Blue (midnight?)
  • Sport Pkg.
  • Premium Pkg.
  • 6 CD
  • Cool Wheels
  • Grey Interior

Might go look at these over the weekend.

Thanks sooooo much.

Explain to me again why the dealer is an idiot for selling a car? Did you leave a deposit?

530 all the way.

If this is an issue for you, you should be looking for a 5mt instead...

Without knowing any potential issues with the two, I'd go for the 530i. It's faster and it has the sports pkg with the better steering wheel, suspension etc etc.

I don't mean to be rude, but why are you asking this in the 3-series board?

I'd go for the 530. Those wheels are sexy

No question, the 530i. And as an aside, I really like the old 5-series look. Not so much for the new 5er (although the 550i is sexy).

I have the 530 sport and loved it. Great ride, comfortable and some power. It looks much sportier and updated than the other. Those BBS rims are hot. Mine had 128K on the clock and no major issues other than a battery, alternator, brakes and tires.
