This is true. Lec is a better driver than Ham and Rus, and Sai is equally as good as Ham and better than Rus. There was definitely more staying power for Ferrari with Lec/Sai but they sold out for marketing hype. If Ham gets body slammed by Lec next year, I wouldnt be surprised to see him leave. We all know his 2 "wins" this year were more due to mistakes of others or luck vs anything.

Some people call it dirty driving, I call it entertainment. I don't care who wins, as long as it's not Mclaren, I hope Ferrari win the WCC and Max wins the WDC.

Mclaren and Norris are so unlikeable
Agreed Max again playing 3D chess while Nor is asking what the shape is of checkers pieces and that Nor/Mclaren are just unlikeable.
I personally love the hard racing (no offense but Ham has made a career of driving like this for nearly 2 decades), and it's clear Nor doesnt want to race hard and doesnt have the skill to do it since he continues to try to pass on the outside but cant keep it on track.
Ferrari for the WCC this year (and crash and burn in 2025) and Max for WDC and then RB bringing back RB19 levels of performance in 2025.

BTW - fastest car with Pia and couldnt even get past the Haas cars?? Maybe he isnt as good as we all thought. His performances the last few weeks has been pretty bad.

The delusion here is strong. Can't wait to see this board falling over themselves when Hamilton wins another WDC at Ferrari

Considering Lando knows Max far better than anyone here, I’m certain he is aware of that.

Agree Ham needs to leave, same with Alo.

Weird you say Max cannot win without a winning car when the former you name went nearly 3 full years without a win in a car far more competitive than Max ever had from 2016-2021 (yet Max still won ~14% of the races he was in during that time vs Ham's measly 3% race wins).

The Max factor was still there and it's been there. No other driver on the grid would be leading the WDC (I think he's set a record for most time leading in history to boot) driving his car. He still has 7 wins (still the most by one driver after Miami and more than double the next driver), or the amount of podiums he has - that is the Max factor - when you can highly outperform the car like he did in 2016-2021, or in 2024.
If he pulls out the final races for another WDC win, it will be his second time winning a WDC in a car that on average was NOT the fastest on the grid, and in fact this year, might on average have only been 3rd fastest (likely another record).

Martin Brundle knows all the current F1 drivers, how they are in person when cameras roll and when they don't. Here's his honest opinion about Verstappen (2023 Silverstone GP):

That’s pretty absurd when guys like Stroll and Checo have seats. I can name quite a few others that should probably go before them two and I’m no Alonso fan.

Agreed. I'm still rooting for him, but wear my Norris kit way more often these days... Can't really defend Checo at this point, but still want to see him succeed.

The late lunge on Lawson was sloppy. Lawson's fight back was justified, but a little too aggressive, imo, as is mirrored by his flip-off response. I think he's getting a little too worked up over inchidents, taking things personally when really, that wasn't his race to fight. If Checo had no damage, I'm convinced he'd have been top 5. He was making good time and aside from the slop against Lawson, clean passes.

Not a chance Checo was able to get a top 5 finish yesterday.

Agreed on Lawson, he’s quite young and we’ve seen much more seasoned drivers do similar things. Not saying it was right to do, it didn’t surprise me though. Nor did the defense, I’m sure he wants that seat and he is trying to show he deserves it. Not sure that was the way to do it, but again, very young driver.

That’s my thing with Checo, he can’t seem to string together a few races or even qualifying anymore without some sort of inchident. They have generally been all of his own making as well.

I’ve been saying it’s Verstappen’s WDC since Bahrain. Only a fool would bet against him.

That’s all I have to say.
MAX drives the 4the fastest car of the grid..

At this moment , in order :

1- Ferrari (the fastest car with the strongest race pace)
2- McLaren
3- Mercedes
4- Honda : RB20

And MAX still is the leader in the WDC and he will be the 2024 World Champion .
This means 4 World Titles in a row .

Still in doubt ?
Just look at how his teammate Checo drives with the RB20...
That's the MAX-Factor (!)

MAX race is Lando Norris .

MAX just wants that Ferrari wins in the 4 last races of the season.
And they will do it (!)

Don't get me wrong - they too need to leave. Same with Mag (now leaving), Bot (atrocious without the 100 hp advantage from MB and should have been cut years ago), Ric (finally gone), and Zho (never should have gotten a seat). They need to let way for a new cohort of talent. When Max, Lec, Sai, Nor, Rus, Alb, Gas came in they were the most talented group we have ever seen at one time but then it's been a lull where the talent winning F2 is not coming in but they'll give seats to Kimi and Bearman who look overwhelmingly mediocre in F2 while a guy like Hadgar owns them and doesnt have a seat. I want more new racers vs guys holding out for 40+ year old glory which in modern day F1 more and more unlikely, esp given the level of younger talent.

That makes a lot more sense. There is a balance though of having veterans with young/inexperienced talent. I can see why teams hang on to older drivers (especially the ones scoring points regularly) in the cost cap era. I’m sure they are afraid of getting cars torn up if they go all young etc.

But yah I can’t disagree with a lot of the names in your post. I still don’t think Alo and Ham yet though. But, I agree their time is definitely coming to an end in the next year or two (maybe three?).

Lap 18 and Checo was up from 18th to fighting for 10th. Ahead of him was Gasly, followed by the Hass cars. But Checo was on the Hard-Medium setup while everyone else was on Medium-Hard. I think he was going to go long on those hards and make up a few spots coming back out at the end of the race on fresh mediums while everyone else was on old hards. 5th might be too ambitious, but 7th easily.

But that's not what happened. Checo did Checo things, all in front of his home audience again. Sucks for him.

Negative (!)
4 races left and next weekend it's Brazil with a sprint race .

A sprint race is just a 30 min. race .The RB20 tires can take that .
Just watch it again how fast Lando was in the last 20 min. of the race and how fast he closed the gap to Charlie .
The Papaya tires last forever (!)
That's where the Papaya danger comes from...

The last 4 races :
