Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS
This is the first evening I've seen the Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS. Here are a couple of photos from my iPhone. Sorry I no longer have 35mm gear with appropriate telephoto lenses.
Check it out in the Western sky for the next few nights. Please feel free to snap a photo and post it. They say this comet hasn't been our way in 80,000 years and it's tail is as much as 18 million miles long! This is really just a local event, not like some of the epic universe images in the thread started by LJ, but I'm still fascinated. |
