Had to snap a pic of this yesterday. As I mentioned in a previous post. It’s bad enough BMW slaps an M badge on models as a marking campaign, worse (in my opinion) when patrons do it themselves.
Buy it, don’t badge it! |

there was this silver Mercedes C43 AMG in Great Falls. It was obviously a fake.(C320 with AMG bodykit) But I guess the guy could get a pass because he had low number diplomatic license plates.(presumably with full immunity against everything)

Nah, no way. Australia as a ridiculous 'luxury car tax' such that any price over certain price makes the car stupidly expensive. The majority of newbie drivers in BMWs etc are hand-me-downs or parent's vehicle. This young buck probably thought their 3-series coupe is the fastest BMW ever so "hey this should also be an ///M". They will learn soon enough.

Sorry, but when it comes to BMW, they themselves are the one that put M badges on cars that shouldn't have them.
Heck, my 230i with the M-Sport package is every bit as deserving (or undeserving) to have them as the M240, M340 or heaven forbid the abomination that is the M235 Gran Coupe! In fact mine came from the factory with an M badge in seven different locations. So they may have well just call it an M230i

No fake badges (yet) but this seller wins the prestigious award for "Most Clapped Out And Ruined F30"! I can't look at the bodykit without laughing.

Ok so this a real C63 AMG but this owner definitely wants people to know it is an AMG. What makes the badge more offensive is the side skirts which had some horrid eBay “AMG” decals. No photos of that as I could not be bothered getting out of my car. Thoughts on this type of badging? Yay or nay? My personal view is fake as it was not factory installed nor is it a factory option, and in any case looks like s**t as badge is way too large for that grille.
