2015 118i (F20) media system issue

Hi everyone,

I’m experiencing recurring issues with the multimedia system in my BMW 118i (2015). The main problem is that the volume control doesn’t always work. When I adjust the volume using the button, the display reflects the changes, but the actual audio either remains stuck at the same level or there’s no sound at all.

Occasionally, resetting the system resolves the issue, but it’s very hit-or-miss. During the reset, I often hear a “bang” through the speakers.

Has anyone experienced something similar or have any insights into what might be causing this? Am thinking maybe its the amp.

I’ve attached a photo of the system’s details in case it’s helpful.

Thanks in advance!
