I'll always love Penske.

Roger is the man.

Roger Penske

I "met" Roger Penske once. It was at Laguna Seca in 2005 at the last race of the American Lemans series. Penske was debuting the new Porsche RS Spyder LMP2 car. Before every race they had a grid walk with all the cars line up in their starting positions. You could get up close to all the cars and drivers. I was crouched down taking pictures of the RS Spyder. I stood up and accidentally bumped into someone. It was Roger Penske. I was so shocked I could barely mumble an apology.

i don't understand. the team principal is the cause of the drivers cheating?

secondly, they have not pressed the button in previous races?

thirdly, there is the button sitting there tempting everyone on the grid and nobody has ever pressed it?

must be so tempting to have that button.

Did you read the entire article?

Investigations from IndyCar in discussions with Penske found that software used for hybrid engine testing was not correctly removed after a test, with Newgarden's #2 team also believing that the rules had changed to allow the use of push-to-pass on restarts following the non-exhibition points race at Thermal.Investigations from IndyCar in discussions with Penske found that software used for hybrid engine testing was not correctly removed after a test, with Newgarden's #2 team also believing that the rules had changed to allow the use of push-to-pass on restarts following the non-exhibition points race at Thermal.

Sounds like a TP’s responsibility to me to ensure correct software is installed and team knows the rules. I don’t think the drivers cheated intentionally.

Oh, I don't either!!! Testing software wasn't removed and the drivers were misinformed of the rules.
