Deletion of digital key

I bought a 2022 CPO Z4 M40I recently and candidly didn’t pay attention to this line on the sticker. I imagine the issue is a result of chip SCM shortages post COVID.

I’ve looked online without much success, but is this possible to add at this point? I have another BMW and love the digital key for convenience.

you guessed right.. may cars had the 32Z option due to chip shortage

bmw will not retrofit it... maybe you find some guy who will do it .. you´ll need some hardware maybe som wirung and a huge load of software and time... and resulting of that .. money

even if you retrofit all the hardware and code the car, it wont work at it requires BMW servers to issue the key activation.

Digital key is such a stupid "feature". I would delete it if I had the choice. Give me a $50 discount and I'll never complain about not having it.
