Seat cushion getting destroyed by getting in and out

i have a car with 3000 miles and the sport seats which has a kind of a bucket lip to it, the lip cushion looks like it's starting to have wrinkle lines

extrapolating this, it's going to get ruined if it's like this at 3000 miles

any ideas what i can do?

See if there is a way you can get in and out without crushing the outside seat bottom bolster. Like lift yourself into it. If you are an old fat guy, serious sport sears probably are not a good choice.

Porsche sport seats are the same. No way to avoid some creasing. Creasing can be minimized by ingress and egress technique - “fall into” the seat and “climb out of” the seat. Straddle the outboard seat bottom bolster when entering and exiting.

As mentioned above don’t slide over the outboard bolster as is common with flatter non-sport seats with little or no bolstering.

I move the seat back when getting out so I can swing my legs out and then start to stand and lift my fat ass over the seat bolster. When I get back in it's the same thing but in reverse. I just wish the F80 came with the auto seat moving feature like my 2016 Chevy POS SUV has.

I wonder if there's anything on YouTube to show how this works. The X5 is quite high as it is so I can't quite picture how I'd fall in or climb out. If you know of anything that can show me how this is done I'd be grateful.

How did you get on with this? I'm starting to see the same thing on the thigh bolsters of my 2024 X5.

I can't work out how to get I'm or out without putting pressure on the side thigh bolster.

It's driving me nuts and is probably the only annoying thing about the vehicle.

Any advice/tips would be appreciated.

I just use some inexpensive seat covers to deal with the wear and tear. Granted, I don't have a stylish seat like your, but it works. Lots of options out there
