E39 525i Exhaust

I want my e39 to be a little louder... Does anyone know what the exhaust looks like from underneath? Is the whole exhaust welded together or there a place where is bolts where u can just remove the entire exhaust... Is there one before or after the resonator or can u just take off the muffler without any cutting?

I don't have an e39 but to provide some insight, all BMW exhausts I've seen are bolted at the cat and that's about it. The rest is welded together. For my E90's muffler delete I had to cut. The only bolts were pre cat and the rest is just one piece. A shop can do a resonator back for probably around $150-300. Hope that helps.

My E39 540 just has an amazon 2" tip welded in place of the muffler cut, sounds great and isn't loud at all on the highway or when not actively presssing the throttle.
