Post your best lease deals or deals you passed on

Just curious what ya'll have passed on or locked in, in the past.

Obviously the market is vastly different than it was 2+ years ago.

For me - 2019 M4CS out here in Phoenix. I was negotiating with Chandler BMW and passed on a ~$700 monthly payment with minimal down. It may have been like $1,000. I was trying to get in the $600's if I remember correctly.

It can be any model / make.

Leased a 2018 Wrangler Sport S with $38k sticker for $358/month with $0 paid out of pocket, all taxes and fees rolled into the lease, 36 months 10k miles a year. Sold the car a few months ago for $3700 more than I paid for it brand new, so my entire lease cost about $2k to drive the car for 3 years all said and done.

I leased a 2017 NSX that had a sticker price of $206,500 for $1,800/mo, 3/36k miles. Only $2,500 down too.

Never driven the 991.1 but I know the steering was quite poorly received, as it was Porsche's first attempt at EPS. Could be exaggerated.

Here's my best: 2019 440iGC

Circa: August 2021

The LH score is 23.3 years, however this does include a $350 post sale rebate which is actually just the waiving of the dispo fee on our current BMW X1 lease.

Deal Specifics (DEMO):
MSRP: $58,195
Selling Price: $43,910 (24.5% off, Excl incentive)
Incentive: $7,500
Zero cost down, not even first month
MSD (7) - $1,750
Mileage: 4,222
24mon/24k term (23 payments)
Acq fee waived for .0005 MF increase
Final MF .0016 after MSD and Acq fee waiver
Final Res 60.4%
$350 waiver of dispo on current BMW lease
$800 in Govt and dealer fees
7% Sales tax
PMT - 23 x $247.74 (=24 x $237.42), including tax

The dealer I leased it from is giving me about $4k over my buyout when I trade it in on my new M440CV, so that's not bad on such a super low lease but this is obviously the result of the market. The real deal is the lease itself.

I've had 3 BMW i3s. All three leases had pretty much the same structure:

MSRP: ~$50-55k
10% discount
Cap reduction: $7500 federal, $2000 loyalty
3rd i3 had an additional $2k off (more on this later)
0.61 Residual
Max MSDs
My down payments were made up of post sale rebates with an effective net $0 drive off:
-$2500 state
-$1000 BMWCCA
-$450 energy company

Monthly payment INCLUDING TAX for my three i3's were:

$177/mo
$204/mo
$198/mo

Thats not even the best part though:

my second i3 had a problem with the power steering that wouldn't go away. It was in the shop for about a month or more. BMW offered to buy it back. I refused because I just wanted it fixed and I loved the car.

They offered a payout that basically gave me all my monthly payments back plus an additional $2k off my next BMW.

Needless to say I couldn't say no. So not only did I basically get to drive the i3 for free for a year, but I upgraded the next i3 with the moon roof and nicer interior and the payments actually came out to be less!

Wish I could find a cheap lease on something right now. I prefer something fun, obviously, but would take a sub $200 per mo zero down econobox lease to have as a beater

I didn't even know an X1 could be spec'd to $58k. What type of sucker would pick that from the lot.

Now as a demo with that discount it's another story.

I remember when dealers were discounting the new NSX because it wasn't selling, then Acura was also adding a $20k incentive.

Current lease hack right now is the new Nissan Frontier. In 4wd Crew Cab spec, a 18 month lease has a 98% residual. Although it is tough to find inventory and a dealer that won't have ad-ons or adm.

Good point. Clarifying info added...

My lease is for the 2019 440gc I'm currently driving. The x1 was our prior lease.

I was curious and inquired about pricing on the new C63S.

I figured they may lease okay since no one wants them.

I was quoted $10K down / $1850 a month on a 36 /10.

They have no 'wiggle room'

Are people actually paying these prices?

Lmao, i8 drivers are going to win this thread easily.

BMW literally gave that car away for free because it was so awful.

So wait, 1850*36 = 66,600 + 10K = $76 fucking grand and you own nothing after three years?

That's preposterous even if the car was good.

If you’re asking for quotes with down payments instead of knowing all of the numbers yourself ahead of time you’re doing it wrong. The lease probably sucks regardless though.

On a side note, i was in the market for a cheap DD as my Saab needed about $5K worth of work, i only drive 3K miles a year though. So the cheapest lease in Canada, as in the absolute CHEAPEST penalty box i could find, is $425 a month including taxes.

Hard pass.

I recently looked at the new Range Rover Sport. Let them give me a lease quote with no money down. They still gave me a quote with like $5k down AND it was similar close to $2k/mo. Wasn't looking to buy at that moment so I didn't really ask for more info or numbers break down or anything like that. Just smiled and walked away. Bat shit crazy.

I bought my 07 z4 coupe just a bit before BMW decided the M coupe wasn't selling and had some insane deals on them to try and get rid of them. My boss ended up with one for less than I paid for the 3.0si.

When you ask for lease quotes, make sure they provide you the adjusted capitalized cost (the selling price, including all credits and charges), residual value (value at the end of the lease), and the Money Factor (equivalent to the interest rate). Without this information you have no hope of understanding and comparing the pricing.
