Had them for a bit. Great customer service but their rates were EXTREMELY HIGH and i switched to statefarm where I get the same customer service with much much better rates.

Another Amica customer here. They beat everyone else by miles as far as price is concerned. Price to insure 3 cars was very reasonable, and 25-40% cheaper than other quotes. Nice people to talk to, very responsive. Almost had to file a claim once, but the other party decided to pay. Either way, check with other companies as well as Amica.

Thanks guys. They are in fact 20-40% cheaper than allstate for me.
Allstate is great for car insurance, but home insurance wise, they tried to give me only 3k for a 29K water damage home repair. So I keep them for car insurance and we have Amica for home now. No claims yet! But Im scared to use Amica for car because none of the body shops around SOCAL have had much dealing with them. I just dont want to deal with great front line service, only to run into some kid out of college 3rd party adjuster who wants to skimp out on my repair say I get into an accident. I keep hearing that they will literally DOUBLE your rate first chance they get, say you get a ticket or file a claim. Maybe thats how they keep their rates so low? Im not saying Amica uses 3rd party adjusters, but none of the body shops Ive called here in SOCAL can remember if they use them or not. Amica front line says they dont, but Ive learned that in insurance sales, they will tell you anything to get the policy.

If you don't mind me asking , where in OC do you live? I'm looking for new Home Owners because State Farm's rates blow but am in area deemed high fire, Coto Canyons area and don't want to waste my time if they won't write in that area.

10yr later update!
I have since had 2 water leaks at my home. Both times Amica came in and pretty much gave me an open check to fix my home. I can not say enough good about them. My 2nd water leak was a 40K repair during covid. At the time everything was closed. They put us up at Pelican Hill Villas (homes!) for a month while our home was repaired. The bill for pelican hill villa for a month was another 30K. It was a nicer home than my own! lol. IF any of you are looking for great insurance, I would contact Amica for SURE!!!
