+1 for another 18 year old Panasonic Plasma. It’s in our winter tv watching room I think my husband might cry the day that thing actually dies.

SONY OLED is the way to go if you want natural color. 77" is the best but they make many sizes.

I find Samsung & LG to be overly saturated.

Lots of great input, one thing for sure, I only have space for a 55"...will be inside a furniture contraption and not wall mounted.

I got a Samsung QN90 for the living room because it’s a bright TV and an LG C1 for the bedroom, perfect combo for me. Plus the Samsung has a Top Gear channel that I can run for background noise.

Problem with having an actual look is the stores set everything to 11. You need to be able to play with the settings, especially reducing sharpness and saturation. Just looked it up and that is a $2,300 TV here so it better be good!

Around $1,300 USD local best buy, so we'll see...

I love SONY's lineup of OLED TVs. I have two, one in the den and one in the mancave and they are both excellent. I had a shitty LG in the bedroom and I hated it. Replaced with a Samsung, but I'm going to replace it with another Sony soon.

Whatever you go with, please just TURN OFF THE MOTION SMOOTHING for everything other than sports. I hate it with a passion and all TVs come with it on from the factory. Everytime a friend buys a new TV I insist on "calibrating" it for them. I work in the TV and film industry so I feign technical know how on TVs even though I simply turn that motion smoothing and picture enhancements off.

I LOVE my Panasonic 65in Plasma, my OLED Sony's look sharper, but for some reason the Plasmas have a film like look to it. I can't explain it. It just looks nicer. The heat though... I don't have to turn on the fireplace.

Would Smooth Degration be the same as Motion Smoothing? That's what I have under "Clarity". Also, what exactly is "Filmaker Mode Auto Start"?

Thx for your input.

LG G3 OLED are on sale/clearance now. Great TV. I picked my 55” up from LGs partner store for under $1700.

If you want the latest, then the G4.

But see you went cheaper with the C3. Enjoy it.

Yup, the C3 was good enough for me.

Man, I have no idea. Each manufacturer calls their showroom dog and pony show something different. 99.9% of anything that alters the picture other than color should be turned off IMHO unless you watch sports.

It's all lower common denominator snake oil. I really don't understand how people live with it. It makes everything look worse than tic tock videos and ig reels.
