Boxing Thread

Did a search and didn’t see much on boxing, so not sure if there’s any interest in a dedicated thread. Anyone else into boxing? Long time fan here.

Lomachenko is fighting tonight. One of my favorite fighters. Always super exciting watching him.

I'm curious to see how Loma paces the fights now that the shoulder has had some time to heal up.

Good fight!

Ortiz was game and competed to the final bell. Was willing to trade all night.

Don’t know if it’s age, ring rust, or both, but Loma looked a little hesitant to me and not his old self.

Hope Loma vs Haney happens sooner rather than later.

yeah, Loma was definitely off his game. Didn't cut his trademark angles and didn't confuse Ortiz the way he would freeze guys in the past. Haney is going to be a super rough matchup if he can't use his angles.

I do think with some more 12 round fights under his belt, Ortiz will be fun to watch in the future. Game even though his legs let him down.

Yup, Ortiz looks to have a bright future.

Loma generally looks small for a lightweight. I think he’s capped there and won’t move up anymore. It’s funny, Loma actually came in heavier at the weigh-in. Don’t know what they rehydrated to on fight night though.

Anyone giving Francis Ngannou any chance to beat Tyson Fury this Saturday?

Not much of a chance. Only way he’ll beat Fury is if Fury got super lazy or overconfident and didn’t train. Even then, Ngannou would still be a large underdog.

This lad "Adam Azim" looks a real deal. He looked really good against Franck Petitjean and he can be a world boxing superstar.
