Synthetic gasoline in lieu of EVs

Synthetic gasoline in lieu of EVs, makes sense if it can be made affordable for mass use.

Does it really though? I mean, they claim it's going to be using captured carbon and renewable electricity production, but it's a horribly inefficient way to create a fuel overall. Might be workable on a smaller scale. It would be nice if it works out, but I am deeply skeptical.

If you can cram EVs down everyone’s throat on such a short timeline, I’m sure this can come to fruition and be a viable option alongside other green technologies.

Everyone is currently shoving EV down our throats and they don't have the infrastructure to support it yet.

In Canada, we have severe winters in most places and most of the people park on the street and don't own a garage. Plows have to clear the roads and sidewalks, and how are they going to do that when people are charging their EV?

Not to mention, the colder it is, the slower the car charges and lower it holds the charge as well.

EV seems like a thing in 20 years. At the moment, have hybrid or hydrogen powered ICE seems like the way to go.

though i think the article is misleading

EU banning cars with more than 0 CO2 (carbon dioxide) emission

if you put a fuel that emits methane, ammonia, nitrogen dioxide, carbon monoxide, sulphur dioxide, chloric acid, hydrocloric acid, radioactive uranium, those are all ok.

They did, but the only problem to Porsche’s “affordable” alternative fuel is that it costed ≈$28 a gallon

The lithium supply chain may not provide enough lithium for EV mandates to materialize on target date. Extension are very likely.

Worth reading.
