The BMW 2002tii - A key moment in BMW's History

The ‘ti’ stands for ‘Turismo Internazionale’, the extra letter of ‘tii’ denoting ‘Injection’. This is a BMW from a period when names actually meant something – 2002 translates as 2.0-litre engine, two doors. Peak power is 130bhp, driving the rear wheels through a 4spd manual gearbox. Enjoy the video.

What a treat. Thanks for sharing.

My first BMW was a 1980 E21 320i. Nothing to do with a 2002. But back when ‘The Ultimate Driving Machine’ meant what it meant. I sure miss those simpler days.
