5x114 wheels on 5x112 studs interchangeable?

assuming they will go on (fit), is it safe to use a 5x114 PCD wheel on 5x112 studs and the other way round? if anything 5x112 wheel on 5x114 studs should be safe?

just wondering.

watched a video where they would actually go on each other but is it safe?

Yes its safe.
The seating cones on the wheel that mates up with the wheel bolts/lug nuts are the same.
Although there are some odd ball seating cone angles for some cars.

JMO, but I'm not a fan of hub adapter rings.
I much prefer the wheel be bored to the correct hub size

What are the details on what wheels your trying to match up?

it was only a hypothetical question

as for my new wheels it's 72mm wheel centre to bmw's 66.6mm

maybe i should use metal ring adapters
