Sad to see the decline of the 5 series as an enthusiast car but I'm interested in finding a manual 540 that may need some attention, but has otherwise been cared for.

Willing to travel for the right car/right owner history. Budget is $5k but flexible.

Looks like you are in Charlotte so am I. I have 2003 540 6sp manual. It needs brake work and has an oil leak. I would be willing to sell it cheap if interested.
