Press release is boring example of hype of something that will never happen. BMW is a day late and a dollar short in the EV world, after being in front with the i3. So sad that instead of cutting edge cars, we are getting PR hype. Not clear that BMW will even survive the transition to electric after their decision to go with combo EV/PHEV/ICE platforms. Was a World leader in ICE platforms (except for styling of late), but now an also-ran. Reminds me of Toyota, who bet on Hydrogen and is now playing catch up for EV's. Toyota is big enough to survive the false start--Is BMW?

This is very confusing… why not just continue on with the i3? It already did all of these things, and this appears to essentially be a future version of the same car. If anything the i3 was more impressive with its focus on lightweight design along with the recycled materials. They seemed to be going the right direction with the i3s :

The re-cycling, I get it, but wow, even "a face only a mother could love" doesn't even fly here.

So many silly comments here. People clearly don't understand the meaning of this concept when they comment on it's look and not the actual tech, materials etc. At least take time to read about it before commenting...
