I suppose this is relative. I'd much rather have a broken heart, that's all mental, but then again, not everyone is mentally strong enough to pull themselves out of a bad situation.

Time heals MOST things.....broken bones, broken hearts, broken trust, etc.

I'm kind of a preventative maintenance type guy. Protect your heart and it doesn't get broken. One of my favorite quotes "A frozen heart never bleeds." As with everything, this logic is flawed too. In order for one to love, they must themselves be loved. F*ck it, take some hydrocodone and take the damn plunge anyway.

I’d much rather have another physical horse accident than lose another horse. You get drugs for physical pain. I still think of Ferrasol every day. Knowing I’m never going to see her again messes with your mind, your inner peace.

I get it, I have kids and have had pets. You can get drugs for a broken heart too - Abilify, Wellbutrin, prozac, etc. I've also owned horses. I don't have to involve my insurance provider over a broken heart though.

You are justified in your feelings though. Not trying to say that you aren't. Just discussing our d'rather's.

My reasons are strictly financial. Horse's are damn expensive to buy, own and maintain. I simplified my life years ago. I'm actually laughing to myself as I type this. I haven't simplified shit. I only simplified my stessors.
