What did they benchmark? You can bet sure as heck they are benchmarking certain cars, like they did with the regular C8 and ZL1, etc. GT2?

I've read that Chevy couldn't do a full lap as there were accidents by Tesla (testing their Plaid) and ya boi BMW.

Maybe by the time this car actually does come out, like mid-2023 i'm guessing, i'll be able to afford one.

Unless you are ordering soon, prob won't get one anytime near the release. Especially if they are on the cheaper end. Thing is going to be SICK

That's a shame to hear, sounds like weather was also an issue. I have no doubt that the C8 Z06 will put down an impressive time though, will be very interesting to see how it does.

Worth a read. Apparently, the BMW that crashed was an M8. I'm betting it's that bizarre 8 series prototype they're testing.

Too bad it looks like the Z06's rear is still going to look terrible. That rear end literally makes me dislike the entire C8, I just can't get past it, because the front/side profile look great.

The rear on it's own is fine but is dead set looks like it was attached to the wrong car. It's just all wrong. In time, the C9 will be the show stopper as they will get it right.

not a fan of the rear either. i think part of the reason why its weird is because some executive made the decision the car has to be able to carry golf bags... so they added on more luggage space behind the engine and it threw off the design.

What a stupid design decision being able to carry golf clubs is. Someone should mock up a Miata with a huge ass to show how that would have worked out. You want to golf? Take your other car. Stop screwing up sports cars for the fringe idiots.

I concur. The rear ruins the entire car for me. The lights, the vents, the exhaust placement....none of it meshes together in a cohesive fashion. It looks like a bunch of elements from random cars thrown together.

I'm also not a fan of the high-profile spoiler. The low-profile one looks far better with the lines of the car. The high one looks to be a parts-bin spoiler stuck on with Elmer's Glue.

I will say this, in the flesh the car is way smaller than it looks on the internet. NFI why.

Or just throw your clubs in the passenger side like everyone else with a sports car does. Very few are carpooling to the golf course.

And if you're playing the country club and taking your wife / girlfriend so she can go lounge around / play tennis or whatever while you golf, quit the BS and just keep your bag there to begin with.

As with a lot of cars I think it looks a lot better in person. The rear end doesn't bother me nearly as much as it does in photos.

It looks more like a GT car rather than a GT3 fighter. I wonder if they are going to delineate the Z07 trim from the standard Z06 more by offering something more than the spoiler, wheels, and lip. I would hope to see fender vents, wide wheels, roof scoop, just some cool race car stuff rather than a GT car, which the color is very fitting.
So basically, I'm disappointed in what I see, however it's encouraging to keep costs down I suppose.

I'm the opposite. I like that it's tasteful looking and not another Corvette with the Pep Boys treatment.

Most of the videos on the ring showed two variants, one with a bunch of exterior accessories such as a larger wing, wheels, etc. and the toned down version we're seeing here. I'm assuming Chevy wants to keep the best version under wraps until the reveal next month.

Z07 pack is definitely going to look more aggressive.
