Auto Industry question

Good morning. I'm in the process of helping a friend get a small business started. And was wondering, if anyone knows what type of estimating software or what's the going rate (hourly) for car customization? I'm aware it's different regionally, just need a starting point.

Your friend isn't going to make it far at all. Sorry. But knowing your market if kinda step one in business. Taking a poll to find out what they are willing to pay, not going to work out. The vast majority of successful business grew from a knowledge of or employee of similar business. That is, they had prior knowledge of at least some inner working of the process, technology, fundamentals, etc.

'Car customization' is a very broad stroke and gives us zero insight. Window tint can be considered customizing. But so can paint and body work. Both have very different and wide ranging costs per job or hour.

There really is no estimating software for customizing. We have 3 major softwares for collision repairs but customizing is going to be totally based off experience and actual clock time spent.
