One time when I was a kid, my buddy Nelson won a bb by stealing the tickets out of skee ball machine. My mom didn't want me to hang out with him but I sneaked out and went over to his house. He dared me to shoot a bird but I really didn't want to so I aimed really far to the right and fired. Little did I know, the sight was bent and I shot the bird right through the neck. I felt horrible about it and even worse when my mom walked up and saw me with the bb gun standing over a dead bird.

Coincidence? Probably.

I've hit dozens of birds in cars and airplanes. Even had an owl fly into the side of my car.

No bad luck at all.

So my motorcycle has an air scoop built into the factory fairing below the windshield, for the purpose of equalizing the air pressure behind the windshield to reduce turbulence. On a tour in North Dakota, flat road at 75MPH, sure enough, a raven got in the way and jammed right into the scoop. A billion to one shot - . Feathers flew up into my face. Honda was smart enough to include a vent grate in the faring "dashboard", just for such events I suppose.

That was March of 2001. Johnson went on to win the Cy Young, World series, and WS MVP that year if I remember correctly. If hitting the bird was the harbinger, OP has nothing to worry about!

I was riding my brand new motorcycle in 1993 when I got hit in the helmet with a rock thrown by a lawnmower. I heard the thunk of the rock coming from the lawnmower but didn't see it. Looked over at the guy and kept riding. That motorcycle got me laid

It's good luck when the airplane the engine keeps running and airplane keeps flying.

It would be bad omen if you are intentionally going out looking for birds to crash into.

WTF! A bird dive bombed right in front of me this morning and I nailed it. I'm gonna stay away from these threads for a while.

A few months ago I hit a bird about halfway into my commute to work. I assumed I hit it because I saw it fly down in front of my car as I was driving "spiritedly" on a back road at 6:30am.

I get to work about 30 mins/25 miles later, with speeds of 80+ on the highway and I hear a noise from the front of my car after I parked. Somehow it squeezed through the grill on my E90 and was fluttering around behind the grill in front of the radiator. I couldn't believe it was alive. I opened the hood, popped one of the kidney grills out, and it flew away.

I hit a damn owl on the highway once. Still made it down to spring break and didn't die somehow.
