I watched John Carpenter’s “They Live” on Netflix yesterday. I last saw it, in part, in the mid 1990’s.

It’s an interesting film, if you haven’t seen it.

IMDB has the genre as; Action | Horror | Sci-Fi | Thriller

For me, I would add “Comedy”: the ever present threat / aliens are outlandishly and hilariously ugly. Also, the fight scene in the alley, between Frank and Nada is humorously exaggerated and long. Why Nada can’t explain in a few simple words, why Frank should put the glasses on??!! The “disappearing act” holes that open up. Multiple other scenes and the general hammy nature of Nada’s character ... I find it very funny.

Very good movie. I like most John Carpenter movies. The fight scene was long and hilarious, but honestly, how long do you think the fight would've been if he made him understand right away to just put on the glasses?

BTW, we have two movie threads here. Just saying... for future favorite flicks.

I can scarcely think of a fight scene that is longer... I think you’d have to look to Rocky or similar, to compete.
