How much to REPLACE an M340i steering wheel that has lots its matte finish etc?

I am curious as to the cost to replace through the dealer an M340i steering wheel. I cared for my 2018 340i's steering wheel meticulously with leather cleaners and washed hands as has been suggested in other threads throughout Bimmerpost, but it inevitably became shiny and slicker over time. I do admittedly use the heated steering wheel function. This has occurred at some point between the time I got the car and now, 3 years in, when it has about 60,000 miles on it.

I fear the same will happen with my new 2021 M340i that is coming in March that I intend to use and keep for a lot longer than I did the 2018 340i.

Any idea from you guys about the cost for this when the time comes?

Mine was also kept up with but got very shiny after about 15k miles. BMW replaced it under warranty for free, but it did also have some wrinkles that were abnormal for that amount of miles.

What did you tell the dealership to get them to cover the steering wheel under warranty? Mine has a couple scratches on it from it's previous owner and I'd love to get it replaced

You can probably get one on ebay for around 600 bucks (without airbag).
