I partly agree with your statement . I heard the '20 Renault PU pushed over 1000 HP , just like the Merc's they ran a great pace on the straights ...

As for RIC we/I know he can be really fast , I saw him on the podium at the '20 Eifel Grand Prix with his 3th place .
That's pretty much is it , in his last 2 years as one of the top drivers of the field !

And personal I don't believe in McLaren in the new season ..But I do see a new pink Mercedes in the McLaren ...

Danny Ric has been absolutely loving life since joining McLaren !
Hopefully soon on the F1 track as well , but that ? That's very doubtful !

Negative mate . We don't hate RIC . It's just speculation from what could come for him at McLaren .

In RIC's last season at RB , he was nowhere and beaten by MAX . He walked on time !
Let us not forget that RIC knew the Red bull car thoroughly !
While MAX was just a rookie kid from 17-18 year old ..MAX was the youngest F1 driver ever , with his 17 years and 3 days old .
But he won his first race very quickly anyway , and was only 18 . And MAX was and still is the youngest F1 race winner ever in the F1 history !

Not dislike come on but looking at it in the cold light of day he wasn't all he was cracked up to be in the 1000hp Renault with only a sporadic podium appearance.

That rookie stuff doesn't apply for talent at their level, especially a few years in. The greats come into F1 fast.

Your analysis of 2018 lacks the mechanical dnf and mechanical grid penalty disparity between Ric and Ver.

Ric had 2 more poles (Ver had 0), the same number of wins, and 2 more fastest lap awards (Ver had 2), while having 4 more DNF total (8 in total for Ric!! And let's not forget one of those was from Ver crashing them both out in Azerbaijan after a series of illegal defenses, where Ric was clearly faster), and more grid penalties than Ver. Check my stats though. Could be off.

Also, Ver was favored by the team. Whether this affected Ric's chance at a fair fight...It sure seems possible.

I'm not shitting on Max either, but this forum has a way of trying to shit on everybody else to lift their "own guy" up. It's annoying. Recognize that there is other talent and these guys aren't untouchable.

Renault was at the lower midfield prior to him joining. Look where they finished last season. He’s one man. Just looked up ruPaul lol My reasoning is that Ricci was seen as the 'way forward' by Renault at the time and would work miracles which sadly for Renault didn't transpire in spite of moving up the graph a little and it is the same logic that some HAM fans have been using on Max so it is a discussion board with likes and dislikes.

RIC from 2014 - 2020 = In *7 years 31 podiums => 7 victories
MAX from 2016 - 2020 = In *5 years 42 podiums => 10 victories

So actually ,It's not really hard to see who the better driver was and still is...
