Apple people... Boot Camp or Parallels?

Advantages and disadvantages for either one...

I'm leaning towards Boot Camp even though I don't like the fact that I have to boot in to each OS. But I like booting cleanly into Windows and having all my peripherals work.

Thoughts?

I bought Parallels when I bought my Apple, but never ended up using it. It is unopened, so if you decide to go that route, I have one I could sell to you.

Parallels

Pros: You can use both mac and windows at the same time
Cons: Doesn't let you use applications with 3D graphics.

Boot Camp:

Pros: You can run any applications that is made for windows
Its Free!!
Cons: You have to run one OS at a time

I was thinking of going the boot camp route but i found all the apps I need on mac so i dont think its worth it. Plus I'm scared of something going wrong since it is windows you're installing after all lol.

bHd, thanks for your help.

I ended up going with Boot Camp. Wanted to make sure that all my peripherals and software works.

It boots very quickly so I'm okay with it so far.

Neither.

Use Fusion, it is much better (at this point) than Parallels.

VMWare Fusion is better. It lets you do both

Mixes the functions of Boot Camp and Parallels for superior results.

i have both boot camp and vmware fusion. I tried parallel as well. Fusion is way better than parallel.

Thanks for the tip. We are experimenting with VMWare at work as well, virtualizing our servers.
