Yelled and cursed at by HR? If that truly happened I'd say your buddy is safe. He just needs to document the incident in writing to his boss and express how emotionally impacted he was by the whole ordeal. Document that shit....In.... writing...In a company-based e-mail to his boss...Now....

I personally caught one guy. Security caught another. The odd thing is, I never mentioned it to anyone as it embarrassed me. I wasn't trying to get the guy in trouble or anything. Apparently he did it often enough, that someone else caught him and mentioned it to HR.
