No. It was a business decision to create a number that gave Shelby enough time to promote a car without the record being topped by an opponent during his sales blitz.


He totally bamboozled the American car reviewers (even up till Friday). I don't think he realized the intelligence of Tim Burton. Burton is a game changer he's smart and he's dependable. I joke about Burton's (Shmee 150's) mannerism but he's a game changer along with a few others in utilizing YouTube for car reviews.

I saw this and watched the official video and a couple that were independent YouTube channels that broke it down.
Looks like this was more of a shakedown run to make sure the car doesn't overheat. The last run, he stopped accelerating way before the line, plus, he really got into it and was pulling hard right before he left off.
So, in a very short 2.3 miles, I believe they'll crack 300mph once they have it all sorted.

I'm usually running around in a white GTI that is lowered with a front splitter.
I'm in a 991.2 Agate Grey C2. Will have a ton of mods by springtime (suspension, custom wheels, BBK). I already have Soul Headers and Sport Cats. I'll do a tune as well.
