How can you keep leaking this much oil?!

At my work someones car is leaking oil and it's leaking pretty bad.
I'm trying to understand what the heck is leaking in this pattern and quantity.

He or she has been parking in a few different spots and each one is destroyed in the same pattern more or less.

I'm thinking he's had oil based rust proofing done recently, and maybe they used an absurd amount? Lol

Haha, how much rust oil was sprayed to ruin 10 different spots that the car has been parked on.

If i did rust proofing and that much oil leaked onto my driveway, you better believe that whoever did the spraying would be paying for a new driveway.

This can't be normal. Yea get your car sprayed and your driveway ruined.

I mean I searched a lot on the subject since I wanted to rust proof and yeah it's to be expected for the types like Krown and others. I didn't want to get some of that rubber type because that's just bad and traps moisture and over time does the opposite. Didn't want to deal with the leakiness so figured I'd just not get it.

Krown does leak a good amount, but that's not normal
Look into Corrosion free, I used it on my wife's old Merc, and does not seep and seems greatly reviewed.

That actually looks like the car was trying to write a message.

Not quite sure. It's hard to pin point the culprit. When i arrive in the morning the lot is pretty much empty, and by the time i leave it is packed.

According to the (Consumer)report, BMW 5 Series owners with V8 engines were “27 times as likely to suffer excessive oil consumption as owners of an average vehicle” and that “BMW outlines such consumption as part of its manufacturer specifications.” In an e-mailed statement, BMW spokesman Hector Arellano-Belloc said “BMW engines may consume up to one quart of engine oil per 750 miles under certain driving conditions” and that performance models are known for consuming even more oil than that.

Is leaking considered consumption?

@Wolf 335 is it possible to take a look in the parking lot during lunch/coffee-tea break?

Looks pretty normal for a car being oil undercoated, especially i you do it in the warmer temps when its less viscous.

We do ours later in the season and it drips less, we just park on the road and move it in the driveway later on to reduce the spots. Its still clean oil so after a few rains its completely gone.

I'm not understanding this undercoating thing. Is that for cars up north? And why not do it right, take everything off and hit it with spray-on bedliner? Much better than any spray you could spray on everything like tire shine.

Same reason they don't use bedliner on steel ships.

It tends to trap and create places where corrosion accelerates, out of view with no way to tell until failure.
