how to contact a forum member to tell them to clear their PMs?

I need to respond to a PM, but their mailbox is full. How can I contact them to tell them to clear their inbox?

Just tag them in the thread you are trying to inquire about. @[username]

Posting a visitor message on their profile page should also trigger an email to them as well.

Recently I tried to message a forum member with this problem. A few minutes later he sent me a PM asking me to send the message again because his box was full. I guess people get a notification not only that their box is full, but whichever user wasn't able to send them a message. That's pretty cool.
