M340 mirror and kidney smudges!

Anyone have their M340 mirror caps that look like this? Looking for the best solution to clean these.

I've tried a few things. I saw someone recommend Chemical Guys Jet Seal so I tried that after the first wash, but the water spots still showed up within a few days. I've also cleaned the mirrors intermittently with Chemical Guys All Purpose Detailer which does an OK job of getting the water spots out, but doesn't prevent them from coming back. Similarly, and weirdly, the glass cleaning product I use on the windows does an excellent job of getting the water spots out, but I doubt it'll keep them away very long.

My guess is that some type of wax or sealant will work to prevent them, but I haven't found it yet. In any event, I hope the above suggestions help you get them out at minimum.

Thanks for the response, definitely tried window cleaner and it seemed to be the beat solution so far but haven't tried many things yet.

It's unacceptable on a 70k vehicle

Don't know why they went with a matte finish. I don't think they tested it before they decided to put it on.

It looks good but if it's not practical and will look like sh** in a year then I don't get it.

Probably could just upgrade to gloss black.

I had same issue, I used CarPro Erasure which is an IPA solution. It worked decently. I switched to cf mirror caps and black grill and bumper trim to avoid the issue. Plus it looks killer

If you want to keep them just have them wrapped the ppl wrapping should clean it ... no issues after it was wrapped, but I've had mine coated as well

Ceramic coated mine and they clean up super easy.

I already have a black grill waiting to be installed and I am not sure what I will do with mirrors.

My PPF installer wrapped all of the Cerium Grey trim in Xpel, even the little individual elements on the grille. I have no problems with spotting.
