Best way to ship a full exhaust across the country?

Hi,

What is the best way to ship a full exhaust east coast to west cost? Carrier or most efficient experience?

Thank you all for input

Stock or aftermarket? Most aftermarket are sectional, OEM is single piece.

Nothing wrong with cutting down the stock system and welding back together.

Only one I have ever done was from LA to Calgary, AB by UPS ground. It was an HKS that shipped in sections, arrived well, and I think the cost was reasonable.

I ditto the Greyhound suggestion. They have an side business shipping odd-sized items that don't fit in the regular UPS/FedEx dimensions, and are cheaper for shipping with the caveat that both shipper and receiver need to visit their respective bus terminals because they don't offer door-to-door (at least the last time that I checked).

I shipped a spare fiberglass formula race car body to someone, and Greyhound came out way cheaper than any of the LTL carriers. I admit to never putting it up for bid on U-Ship, but I guess that you could get lucky there if someone is passing by on the route and has free space on their trailer for a quick side load.....

DHL or UPS probably. Depending on how expensive it is, you might want insurance.

Shipped an xpipe in a 65x25x6 box. Was 41lbs.

I got quotes from FedEx, UPS, USPS, DHL, Greyhound.

UPS Ground was the cheapest. But this was only FL to NC, so not cross country.

My suggestion, get your dimensions and get prices from all shippers and go from there. Prices always seem to vary.
