This is the only time I'm not proud to be an American...travel in Europe. The costumes I've seen my fellow Americans wear on the continent are downright embarrassing.

A simple rule to remember: Whenever in doubt about anything, I simply ask WWJBD? (What Would James Bond Do?) It keeps everything simple: Wear a tuxedo, go all the way with the best looking girl available at the moment, drive the cool car, kill the bad guy. Other than that, hope the little tube with wings makes it safely there and back. I actually don't mind flying, but I feel like there are going to be an uptick in the number of plane crashes over the next 5-7 years...and that scares me a little. Just a gut feel - time will tell if I'm dead wrong.

Generally stems from a lack of faith that the maintenance worker has done his/her job correctly. Whether that be from lack of knowledge because schools just pass people now regardless, or from a lack of care.

777-300 there, only 3 hull losses on those so far in 20+ years of flying.
787 back, no hull losses yet, and we are not on Maylasian airlines either way.
