Suntech vs Expel Stealth

Team need your help. I've got a '19 M5C with Frozen Arctic Grey paint and im looking at getting it wrapped here (Kaiserslautern Area) within the next few weeks. The installer I'm considering told me that Suntech is now offering a wrap for matte paint as well just like Expel. Have any of you heard about this and if so have you tried the new suntech matte wrap? The installer was telling me the suntech is a little better product but that both work well on a matte finish. Any advice you all have would be great. Also he quoted me around 4000 euro for the entire car. Does that sound about right?

Xpel all the way.

4k is cheap !

I got quoted over 6k for Xpel Stealth.
(the mat film is about 30% more expensive than the regular film).

I've decided to just go with a good ceramic coating (Gtechniq H9).

Suntek is the best....I use it on all my cars....super invisible and scratch resistant (even my 5% window tints.....)

I have Xpel on my truck but I would have used Suntech if it were available via my installer. It less expensive and is at least as good if not better than Xpel. But I'm happy with the way the Xpel turned out.

Both are very reputable brand, I would go with whichever is cheaper and the brand that your installer is most familiar with.

I would ask to look at samples of both on the car. I wrapped my Frozen MBB in XPEL and I’m very happy with it, but the matte finish of the film is noticeably different to the look of the frozen paint. This would have been be a problem if I’d chosen a partial coverage.

I believe SunTek and LLumar are the same compostion film sold under two different brands. This link has a good discussion but does not address matte in particular.

Thanks for all the input. I was nervous as I was unaware Suntech was available for matte finishes. Appreciate it! 👍🏾

My guy offers both but says suntech is better. Apparently the adhesive isn’t quite so aggressive so it gives installers a better chance to get everything perfect before it is fully stuck to the car. Also the clarity of suntech is better.

Dude that's great to hear as it backs up what the installer here told me. Basically made almost exact same comment. I'm pretty sure I'm going to go with the sun tech but I'm going to have him show me samples of both just in case.

Yeah I'm leaning heavily toward suntech...

Hmm, that's good to know. Thanks!

I have the Stealth from Xpel and it's really awesome. I've had it since August on my car and I live in a harsh winter area (Detroit) and it holds up like a champ. People go crazy for the look of it. So far I've had no issues. It's all what you feel comfortable with and who your installer is. Hint:: Make sure they tuck each corner and edge. You don't want them to cut the film at or around the edges without tucking it. You'll thank me later for this lol.

Here are a few pics of my car.
