Astrophotography
anyone do astrophotography? i used to be into it, but then work got really busy, so i started sleeping earlier, then i got older and craved sleep, so i barely get to do it now. an FB memory popped up today showing one of the pics i took 5 years ago and now i want to get back into it lol.
i actually recently tried to pull out my 8" reflector, but my telrad and tracking scope i built are broken, so i didn't have much fun trying to aim the thing, and only really just observed planetary stuff. |

No, but I was looking into it lately. Closest I've come so far it just getting stars as part of a landscape. Turns out I didn't have great luck focusing...manually focusing after working 17+ hour days is not the best idea. Add in wind and not-so-short exposures and...yeah.

Awesome stuff! This is an area I would like to explore. My 3 1/2 year old knows the planets and loves the night sky.

Viewing with short exposure pictures. I bought a phone and tablet mount for it so we can all view it at the same time and discuss what we're looking at 80% of this teles life will be spent learning about the 80 great features of our side of the moon
