I live for the day that I see a vanity plate that says "NOT VAIN".

That is all.

The anti-vanity plates are all already out there. The CSTUDNT type badges. Or DROPOUT on expensive rides. It's a different kind of vanity.

Those aren't anti-vanity. Those, I would argue, are even more about being vain.

"I averaged 'C's in school but I drive this. Look at me. You really think I'm average?"

"School? Didn't want to, and didn't need it. Now look at my uneducated self!"

Naaah. Doesn't count.

I should have air quoted "anti-vanity".

It's the same syndrome: extroverted behavior for the most eyes possible. Flashy this flashy that... can't blame them too much. I think everyone would like some acknowledgment that they matter once and awhile. Some people deal with it differently.

She would not have responded. I would have felt great disappointment in not showing up a person with such a dumb plate, who would not back it up.
Hypothetically....

The best vanity plate I've seen and was totally surprised it made it through the DMV checks and filters:

Plot twist; it’s really an undercover cop seeing what dingbats want to street race

Don't think we have to worry about a stock (assuming) V6 mustang from the early 2010s generating too much wheelspin.
