Serves him right for trying something as brutal as using a blowtorch. And when you live on East Badger Road, you should just man up and live with them - not like you weren't warned in advance.

I've got a 20 pound Norwegian Forest Cat....I used to have a mole problem. Problem is he is murdering much larger prey now. Squirrel 2 weeks ago and a rabbit this past Sunday.....the neighbors Rottweiler is missing also.

Norwegian forest cat? Interesting. Never heard of the breed. Sounds like a Maine coon, from a size perspective.

Very similar to a Maine Coon. When I got him that's what we thought he was. Now that he is older, he doesn't have the facial characteristics of the Maine Coon, the mane nor does he meow in the typical MC fashion (chirping). He is a big cat for sure though and as sweet as he is to me and guests in my house, outside he is a completely different animal. The neighbors dogs avoid him. Hold on, I'll post a pic or two. The picture where I'm holding him was a year and half ago, the table pic was taken about a month ago. Notice the size of his head compared to the candles and the length versus the table. He's a big baby until he sees another animal, then he goes from Dr. Jekyl to Mr. Hyde.

Don't mess with Norwegians (or Finns, for that matter)! They should look for their Rottweiler on a tree, perhaps. My schoolmate had a cat (of some Oriental-like appearance). I did not see it myself, but he told me his cat usually started his promenade with scaring neighbourhood dogs (in a shared city yard) up the trees.

Reminds me of my aunt's cat 'Busy Bee' - probably 30# or more of neighborhood-dominance, and one of only two animals I was prohibited to get close to as a child (the other being a 3000 pound bull that still had its horns).

Hamilton gets a lion cut in the early summer, pretty much just to keep the amount of the cat hair down in the house and off my clothes. I've tried to make an appointment this year, but the lady that cut him last year won't call me back. He fucked her up bad last year. She recommended sedating him last time. Seeing this aggressive orange bastard with such a haircut resulted hysterical laughter by my friends when they came over. I can only imagine what the neighborhood cats thought of him prancing around strutting his stuff in this do. I would guess it would be like seeing the neighborhood bully with pigtails, but knowing all the while not to tempt fate by making jokes.

Drop a smoke bomb in one of the holes and cover it with a piece of wood. The smoke will fill the tunnels and chase them out. They don't like the smell of sulfur, either. You can put a live trap at one of the exit hole if you want to relocate the animal. The 4th of July is near, so smoke bombs should be easy to find.
