Hating reboots of classic shows - LIS
Anyone seen the Lost in Space - reboot
God it's awful, the "ONLY" thing I thought was good was making Dr.S a female. but other than that, they have ruined the gut's out of it. I loved the original show, along with LOTG, "Voyage.." Time Tunnel part of my youth, I hated most things at that age, TV show's was my only escapism, and now there ruining these shows |

I started to watch the first episode of Lost in Space, my wife who loved the original fell asleep and I tuned out about half way through.....I may go back and give it another shot but I don't think it's going to fly.....besides Westworld season 2 is out now, Billions, Ballers etc.....

I think I would give it a chance, e.g. Battlestar Galactica reloaded was much more better than the classics, even Lorne Greene wasnt the CMDR

I thought it was decent personally. It's a remake of a kid's show, targeted towards kids...
It's predictable, but well done overall. |

TBH I "had" to watch it, I thought just give it a chance.
I guess had I not seen the original I may have liked it. I just kept comparing the characters to the original. As a reboot, I really liked the film, that was "more" in keeping with the original LIS The film theme was really excellent and that guy from friends, Matt... what's his face was a good charachter |

I like the movie that came out 20yrs ago. The original series is way before my time, I've never seen any of it. I started watching this Netflix version I thought it was really hokey all the stupid ridiculous shit happening every few minutes. I asked a co-worker who has seen the original series and he said it was pretty hokey so this reboot is in line with the original in his opinion. It has some entertainment value, not much. I still have a couple episodes to finish it.

Watch all 10 episodes before you pass judgement. It gets better. Personally, I thought the original LiS TV show was STUPID.... |

I’m of an age whereby I remember the original was one of the best shows on television, right up there with Batman and The Munsters.
I quite enjoyed the reboot, enjoyed it even though it is vastly different to the original. |

(Spoiler Alert) The only part I haven't liked so far was the Jupiter 2 escape out of the glacier. It lost the "suspension of disbelief" on that one. |
