Like taking a trip back in time, the way our brains can play with concepts of causality. Makes me want to riff on other 'useless things' like insurance for example (you know - I never paid for it, never had any accidents. Then I move to a new state where it is mandatory, and that first year - BAM - an accident. I'm never getting insurance again!).
I guess that getting to see first hand what it looks like when this actually kills somebody can make me a bit snarky about how easy it is for people to just decide 'immunization is useless' - or worse, they make up fake facts about how dangerous it is. We just got over a small local quarantine here at the college for mumps, thanks to some of those 'no chemicals for my precious snowflake' parents (sort of rebooting a 3rd world problem into a 1st world version - hey smallpox and tuberculosis, we're getting the band back together!!). |

"Physicians perspective" - it's changed drastically over the years thanks to changes dictated by medical insurance companies.
