14 Karat Gold Apple Watch

How much are series 1 Gold Apple Watches going for these days? The series 3 cellular goes for $399 and is better in every way than the $10,000 gold watch. Would you pay $10K for a first generation product? Even the series 3 in ceramic costs more than the iphone X, I wonder how many they are selling?

People are fucking retarded for spending that kind of money on any Apple product.

Especially since it will probably stop working after a year.

Apple products are very durable. Not saying that watch is worth $10k, but they are extremely durable in general. Since Apple actually supports old devices, they tend to stay relevant longer which is why the secondary market consistently shows Apple products holding value longer.

Weren't you just worried about tax reform? Now talking about $10,000 watches? :

You buy your 10k I-watch and I will buy my 10k IWC, Omega, Tag, Glashutte, Rolex, or any high end mechanical watch. Let's come together in 10 years, you will have an outdated, worthless software, watch. I will have a classic watch still worth 10k.
Please buy I-watch watches, I have Apple stock.
What a bunch of rubes

My comment wasn't about durability at all. Smart watches, phones, laptops, etc, all have a limited design life. Something like a Rolex will be a classic that isn't really relying on it's technology being current to still be stylish, while an Apple watch will soon become outdated slow technology once the next quicker/faster/better version comes along. Similar to if you get into a car with an extremely outdated navigation system. The Apple watch will probably work fine after a year (if it isn't dropped) but the advancement of everything else will make it seem slow and not up to par. Most of the problems with older iPhones stem from the newer updates requiring too much processing power which slows them down. The device hardware is fine, but the software is more than it can handle.

The apple watch becomes outdated quickly and mine also broke on it's own. The case is pretty strong but the battery swelled and also the heart rate monitor is made out of cheap plastic that scratches easily when attached to the inductive charger. This is true of the gold model too.

Lolol are you being sarcastic??

Almost every apple product I’ve owned has problems the only exception is the watch.

Cellphones, laptops etc ... doesn’t matter if it costs 80 or 3500 all break and need their stupid expensive repairs they don’t want you doing yourself not to mention they phase out and purposely slow down older hardware.

Your anecdotal experience doesn’t matter. Apple products are known for their long useful life. This doesn’t mean they are immune to glass cracking, but the hardware lasts, the software is supported, and the products are great.

This is why Apple products hold value so well.

Maybe in terms of computer products, but not in terms of watches.
Wearing a 15 or 20 year old subbie is nothing strange or extraordinary but using an apple product from that era is.... hopeless:
